Resurrection Power
There has never been a power greater than what was shown almost 2,000 years ago when Jesus rose from the grave. Even the combined destructive power of all of our atomic bombs can not equal the power of the resurrection. They may have the power to take life, but they don’t have the power to bring life back from the dead.
The Higgs boson that scientist have discovered, which some say might spell doom for the universe, and others have dubbed the “God Particle,” can’t explain the power to bring life back from the dead.
Yet it is such power that the Apostle Paul wanted to know along with its author.
“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” (Philippians 3:10-11)
Resurrection power is the most powerful force in the universe, and it’s a power that everyone can experience for their life. It’s the power to bring the dead back to life.
No, I’m not talking about Zombies or the walking dead, but a power than can transform us from being dead in our sins to being alive in the righteousness of Christ, and a power that can transport us from a mortal life on earth to an immortal life in heaven.
This wasn’t an event that happened long ago and is now over, but it’s power that’s working by faith in everyone that believes and who comes to faith in Jesus Christ.
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ” (Ephesians 2:4-5).
In Jesus there’s resurrection power to bring back to life those areas in your life that you thought was dead. It’s a power that once started cannot be stopped. So today let the power of His resurrection be yours.
