God Will Prevail

God will prevail no matter how much we would like to have it done differently.
When Jesus stood before Pontius Pilate and his accusers, Pilate found nothing wrong, nothing worthy of death, especially the horrific death of crucifixion.
“You have brought this Man to me, as one who misleads the people. And indeed, having examined Him in your presence, I have found no fault in this Man concerning those things of which you accuse Him; no, neither did Herod, for I sent you back to him; and indeed nothing deserving of death has been done by Him.” (Luke 23:14-15 NKJV)
But Jesus’ accusers cried out even louder, “Crucify Him, crucify Him.” (Luke 23:21 NKJV)
But when Pilate wanted to have him beaten and released His accusers “were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And the voices of these men and of the chief priests prevailed” (Luke 23:23 NKJV).
God will prevail.
“Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin … He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.” (Isaiah 53:10a, 12b NKJV)
The Lord said, “There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the Lord’s counsel–that will stand.” (Proverbs 1921 NKJV)
Knowing crucifixion lay before Him, Jesus prayed, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” (Luke 22:42 NKJV)
No matter how hard we pray, no matter what we do, God will prevail in the end. So instead of fighting God, let’s join with Him. Be like Jesus and pray, “Lord, you know what I want, but may Your will be done in my life and in this situation.”
Is there something today that you’re fighting God against? Find His peace by praying for His will to be done.
