God’s Shortened Work

In the end God will make short work of sin and Satan.

Satan is making a last ditch effort to destroy believers in Jesus Christ and the church. He’s in an all out battle, which is evident in our world today.

He has opened his mouth like a flood and we’re seeing the results, as acts of perversity and violence are on the increase, and the human mind and heart are becoming numb to the effects of sin.

Jesus talked about these days and said that overall lawlessness will abound, and the love of many will grow cold, Matthew 24:12, and it will also be a time when they’ll be calling that which is good, evil, and that which is evil, good, Isaiah 5:20.

But in the end, God will make short work of Satan’s schemes.

“For He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, because the Lord will make a short work upon the earth.” (Romans 9:28 NKJV)

In fact, if God doesn’t cut short His work Jesus said that no flesh would be saved, but it’s for the sake of God’s people that these days will be shortened, Matthew 24:21-22.

But why doesn’t God do this now? What’s God waiting for? Why does there have to be any more pain and suffering?

The answer may be because God doesn’t want there to be any more pain and suffering.

Now you’re probably thinking I’ve lost it. But please consider that God is allowing these things to continue so more people can come into the saving knowledge of His Son, Jesus Christ, and miss out on the pain and suffering of hell, which is far worse than any pain and suffering we could ever experience here on earth.

I also believe that God will likewise make short work out of the pain and suffering caused by Satan in your life. He will bring into your situation peace and comfort to minimize and eliminate Satan schemes against you.
