It’s All Good in God

It’s All Good in God

God will finish the good He started in your life when you came into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This was the Apostle Paul’s confidence.

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6 NKJV)

God began a good work in you when you accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord, and He is continuing that good work until the day you pass from this world into the next, or heaven. The reason we can be assured of this outcome is because it is a work of God, not a work of man.

The Apostle Paul said, “He (God) who has begun a good work.” In other words, God will complete what He began.

Maybe, however, you’re at a juncture in your life when it isn’t good, when things are going terribly wrong, like the loss of a loved one, sickness, disease, divorce, or a job loss.

If this is the situation you are now facing, then there’s is another precious promise that you can hold onto and that is while it isn’t good now, God will turn the bad into good.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28 NKJV)

Now this doesn’t say that all things are good, but that God will turn them into good, but not just any good, but good for His kingdom purposes.

This good takes place as we keep our focus on the Lord through it all. This is what the writer of Hebrews encourages, saying, “let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:1b-2a NKJV)

Therefore, “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” (Jude 1:21 NKJV)
