It’s Time to Take Stock of Your Life

Have you taken stock of your life?

Inventory is the lifeblood of every retail business as to whether it’s going to make a profit or not. To maximize profits they must make sure they have the right amount of products without over or under stocking. To accomplish this they’ll regularly take inventory of what’s in their stock.

In the same way the Lord is asking every one of us to take inventory of our lives, and see if our faith is in line with Him.

“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?–unless indeed you are disqualified.” (2 Corinthians 13:5 NKJV)

Where are you in your relationship with Jesus Christ? This question needs to be asked and answered by everyone.

If you’re not in the faith, if you don’t believe in Jesus Christ, if you haven’t asked Jesus Christ into your heart, and you don’t have that born again relationship Jesus says is necessary (John 3:3), then when you enter the next life, “indeed you are disqualified.”

This isn’t a game; rather it’s serious business. This isn’t something you can put on the back burner thinking you can visit it at a more opportune time. Now is the time for salvation, and that’s because no one is promised tomorrow. Before tomorrow you may shed this earthly body for an eternal one.

If you haven’t made that decision for Jesus Christ, asking Him to be your Savior and Lord, then you’ll spend an eternity in hell, rather than heaven.

Take time today to find out where you stand before God. Are you in the faith? If not then ask Jesus Christ to come into your life, and to forgive your sins.

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9 NKJV)
